Mean Girls is a 2004 American teen comedy film directed by Mark Waters. Starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Fey, Tim Meadows, Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, Lacey Chabert, Lizzy Caplan, Daniel Franzese, Neil Flynn, Jonathan Bennett, and Amanda Seyfried.

Mean Girls (2004) follows Cady Heron, a teenager who has spent most of her life being homeschooled while living in Africa with her parents. After moving to Illinois, she enters public school for the first time and quickly realizes that surviving high school comes with its own set of rules.

Cady befriends Janis and Damian, who introduce her to the school’s different cliques and warn her about The Plastics, a popular trio led by the manipulative Regina George. When Regina unexpectedly invites Cady into the group, Janis convinces her to use the opportunity to secretly bring Regina down.

Their plan becomes personal when Regina gets back together with Aaron Samuels, Cady’s crush. Cady begins sabotaging Regina’s friendships, reputation, and appearance, but the more time she spends pretending to be a Plastic, the more she starts becoming one herself.

Everything eventually explodes when the Burn Book is exposed, throwing the entire school into chaos. Cady is forced to take responsibility for what she has done and finally realizes that tearing other people down hasn’t made her any happier or more popular.
