John and Dean Solomon are two kind-hearted brothers who grew up far away from normal society, leaving them intelligent but completely inexperienced when it comes to romance and relationships. Their sheltered upbringing has made even the simplest social situations surprisingly difficult.

Everything changes when their beloved father falls into a coma. The brothers discover that his greatest wish is to have a grandchild, and they become convinced that giving him one could bring him back. Determined to save their father, they set out on an unusual mission to find a woman willing to become the mother of their future child.

Their search leads them to Janine, a struggling musician who agrees to help them through a complicated arrangement. But with Janine's intimidating boyfriend James involved and the brothers having almost no understanding of dating, relationships, or parenthood, their carefully planned solution quickly turns into a series of hilarious disasters.

At the same time, John develops feelings for Tara, a woman who is much more difficult to impress than he expected. As the brothers try to prepare for fatherhood, they must learn about love, responsibility, family, and the unpredictable consequences of their decisions.
