व्हाट्सऐप से ठगी के मामले बढ़ते ही जा रहे हैं इस बार ठगों ने पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री IK गुजराल के बेटे और राज्यसभा के पूर्व सांसद नरेश गुजराल को शिकार बनाया है नरेश गुजराल के नाम पर ठगों ने उनकी कंपनी के एक अधिकारी से सात करोड़ 68 लाख रुपए, अपने बैंक एकाउंट्स में ट्रांसफर करा लिए राहत की बात ये रही कि नरेश गुजराल और उनकी बेटी को वक्त पर समझ आ गया कि उनके साथ प्रॉड हो गया है उन्होंने पुलिस को खबर दे दी इसलिए फ्रॉड करने वालों के खाते में जमा लगभग सवा चार करोड़ रुपए फ़्रीज़ कर दिए गए असल में, नरेश गुजराल एक टेक्सटाइल कंपनी चलाते हैं.

Incidents of WhatsApp-based fraud are on the rise; this time, fraudsters targeted Naresh Gujral—son of former Prime Minister I.K. Gujral and a former Rajya Sabha MP. Posing as Naresh Gujral, the scammers managed to get an executive from his company to transfer ₹7.68 crore into their bank accounts. Fortunately, Naresh Gujral and his daughter realized in time that they had been defrauded and alerted the police; consequently, approximately ₹4.25 crore deposited in the fraudsters' accounts was frozen. Naresh Gujral runs a textile company.
