The Croods (2013) is a DreamWorks animated adventure-comedy about a prehistoric caveman family struggling to survive in a dangerous world.

The overprotective patriarch Grug leads his eccentric family — including rebellious teenage daughter Eep, wife Ugga, son Thunk, feisty Grandma Gran, and baby Sandy — who live by strict rules: "Never leave the cave" and "New is always bad." When their home is destroyed by a massive earthquake and the end of their world approaches, they are forced to venture out into unfamiliar territory.
