MiCA's transitional period ended July 1st, and with it, the licensing conversation. What institutions are now grappling with is more demanding: the cybersecurity and operational resilience obligations that MiCA and DORA make legally enforceable — continuous security monitoring, supply chain oversight across every vendor and integration in the custody stack, disaster recovery programs that must survive regulatory audit, and incident reporting windows measured in hours.
