Pekao S. A., Poland’s second-largest bank, claims it is ready to take on the challenge posed by Anthropic’s Mythos AI, a tool that can reportedly outperform people at certain hacking and cybersecurity tasks.

“AI will help us to understand how well it actually performs and how well our own security strategy performs,” Marcin Zygmanowski, Pekao S. A.’s Vice President of the Board and Chief Technical Officer, told TVP World on the sidelines of the European Financial Congress hosted in the Polish seaside resort of Sopot, adding:

“I think Poland is in a relatively good shape, at least I would say that the public sector, the banking sector, the energy sector are ready, because we’re under constant attack.”
