The Star Packer (1934) is a classic Western movie starring a young John Wayne as U.S. Marshal John Travers, presented here in full. This early John Wayne Western blends frontier action, mystery, and old-fashioned justice as Travers hunts the unseen outlaw mastermind known only as “The Shadow.”

In a lawless frontier town, sheriff after sheriff has been murdered—and no one can discover where the fatal shots are coming from. When another lawman falls, Travers pins on the badge and follows a trail of stagecoach robberies, secret messages, hidden passages, and a deadly plot against the entire town. With his trusted companion Yak, courageous ranch heiress Anita Matlock, and the local ranchers at his side, he must uncover The Shadow’s identity before the gang strikes again.

Directed by Robert N. Bradbury, The Star Packer also features Verna Hillie, George “Gabby” Hayes, and legendary stuntman Yakima Canutt.
