Marco Rubio grabbed attention this week for his claims around the threat of left wing terrorism in the USA.

LBC's Joseph Draper spoke to historian of the Cold War, Dr Bill Booth, as Rubio and the Trump administration are hit with accusation of McCarthyism.

Rubio launched a report that suggested Cuba is funnelling support to left wing groups, like the Democratic Socialists of America, which New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani belongs to.

Dr Booth raised the point that if Trump were to match the McCarthy era, politicians would be added to a 'blacklist' and potentially 'banned'.
