Earthbound is a supernatural mystery-fantasy directed by Irving Pichel. It is based on the short story The Ghost's Story by Basil King which previously adapted into the 1920 silent film of the same name.

Plot:
The story follows Nick Desborough, who is murdered while on a trip to Switzerland. Instead of passing on, Nick becomes an "earthbound" ghost, unable to leave the mortal world until justice is served. Invisible to almost everyone except a kind elderly man named Mr. Whimser, Nick works to clear an innocent man who has been accused of his murder and to expose the real killer.
