Artificial Intelligence-powered cyberattacks have emerged as the biggest cybersecurity concern for India's banking and financial sector. According to the RBI's Financial Stability Report, 95% of surveyed banks and NBFCs identified AI-enabled cyber threats as their top risk, followed by third-party and supply-chain vulnerabilities (70%). Other major concerns include ransomware and malware (28%), phishing (23%), API vulnerabilities (23%), and patch management issues (14%).

The findings highlight the growing need for stronger cybersecurity frameworks as AI reshapes the threat landscape in the financial sector.
