Former police officer Lt. Parker Barnes (Denzel Washington) is serving time in prison after a tragic hostage incident left his career and family in ruins.
When an advanced virtual reality training program known as SID 6.7—an artificial intelligence created by combining the personalities of history’s most notorious criminals—escapes into a synthetic human body, law enforcement has no one capable of stopping it.
Barnes is offered a chance at freedom if he can track down and destroy SID before the AI unleashes chaos across Los Angeles.
Standing alongside Barnes is Dean, played by Jim Brown, a respected corrections official and mentor whose strength and leadership help guide the effort against a threat unlike anything humanity has ever faced.
As technology and humanity collide, Barnes must stop an enemy that learns faster, thinks faster, and kills without remorse.
