TIFF Day 1 and Day 2 are in the books.

From the VIP atmosphere at the Princess of Wales Theatre and Sebastian Stan’s pre-screening jokes, to a cold and emotionally distant Romanian drama, Fjord was not the powerful festival experience I expected.

Then came Obsession - a special screening of the indie horror hit, complete with a frustrating theatre setup, an unexpected Hudson Williams sighting, a Q&A with Inde Navarrette and director Kerry Barker, and jump scares that genuinely made the audience jump.

In this TIFF diary, I talk about both films, the festival atmosphere, the screenings, the actors, and why, between the two, I would choose Obsession without hesitation.
