Tonight I'm wrapping up a 4 part live stream focusing on the pending civil trial in Los Angeles, CA.

Twenty-nine days separated Wade Robson's civil abuse claim against the Michael Jackson Estate from the Cirque du Soleil premiere he had personally begged to direct.

Tonight i'm reading the entire civil posture of Wade Robson v. MJJ Productions and James Safechuck v. MJJ Productions.

WHAT TONIGHT COVERS:

The Wade Robson Timeline. May 5, 2005: Robson, age 22, testifies under oath that Michael Jackson never molested him or touched him improperly and calls the allegations "absolutely ridiculous." 2011: defends Jackson on the Today Show, two years posthumously. Same year, writes Cirque du Soleil CCO Jean-François Bouchard begging for creative work on the upcoming "Michael Jackson: ONE" tribute show. May 1, 2013: files his civil claim. June 29, 2013: "Michael Jackson: ONE" premieres in Las Vegas without him. Twenty-nine days.

The James Safechuck Timeline. Did not come forward in 1993 when the Chandler case broke. Did not come forward in 2005 when DA Tom Sneddon was actively soliciting witnesses for the criminal trial. Filed his civil claim in 2014, one year after Robson. Alleged on camera in Leaving Neverland that abuse occurred at the Neverland train station. Per Santa Barbara County records, the construction permit issued September 2, 1993, and the station was built in 1994. Safechuck's alleged abuse period is 1988 to 1992. He has since adjusted his timeline in court filings.

AB 218 Explained. California Code of Civil Procedure section 340.1, signed by Governor Newsom in October 2019 and effective January 1, 2020, extended the statute of limitations for childhood sexual abuse civil claims to age 40 (or five years from discovery, whichever is later), opened a three-year revival window from 2020 to 2022 for previously time-barred claims, and reaches corporations and other third parties with a duty to protect. California Court of Appeal Second District reinstated both cases in 2020 (Safechuck v. MJJ Productions, 43 Cal.App.5th 1094) and reinstated them again on August 18, 2023 under a corporate-duty theory.

The Defense Theory at Trial. Why the train station forensic, the Cirque letter sequencing, Joy Robson's 2005 defender testimony, Brett Barnes as a control variable, and the 2016 deposition record matter on cross examination if either case proceeds to a jury verdict.
