But fame cannot quiet his restless spirit. Jack travels overseas as a correspondent, crosses into Korea during the Russo-Japanese War, and risks imprisonment to report what others cannot see. Michael O’Shea brings rugged determination to the title role, while Susan Hayward adds warmth and strength. The cast also features Osa Massen, Harry Davenport, Frank Craven, Louise Beavers, and Virginia Mayo in one of her earliest credited screen appearances.
