A single mother arrives at a hospital after being attacked and claims that a stranger stole her car. But she soon reveals that her four-year-old son was asleep in the back seat when the vehicle disappeared.

A determined detective takes charge of the investigation, but the case quickly becomes more complicated when the mother insists that a Black man was responsible. Her accusation sparks fear, anger, and racial tension throughout the troubled community, turning the search for a missing child into a much larger crisis.

As the detective digs deeper into the story, he begins to suspect that the mother is hiding important details about what really happened. With hundreds of people searching for the missing boy and the city becoming increasingly divided, the truth becomes harder to uncover.

What begins as a desperate search for a child soon becomes a tense psychological mystery about grief, guilt, prejudice, and deception. As the investigation reaches its breaking point, the detective must uncover what happened that night before the growing conflict spirals completely out of control.
