Plot:-
"Lottery" is a fantastic comedy-drama film that tells the story of a poor village named Laholi. Grappling with drought and poverty, the villagers have only one source of entertainment: the lottery. Leelaram, the most educated man in the village, acts as an intermediary between the lottery agency and the villagers, earning his livelihood through this role.
The story takes a major turn when Leelaram discovers that a villager has won the bumper prize of ₹1 crore in the 'Malamal Weekly' lottery. Driven by greed, he hatches a plan to claim the winning ticket for himself. He hosts a feast for the villagers to identify the winner and eventually learns that it is Anthony. However, when Leelaram arrives at Anthony's house, he finds that Anthony has already passed away, with the winning ticket still in his hand.
What follows is a story filled with humor and suspense. Leelaram, Ballu, and Kanhaiya team up in an attempt to get their hands on the lottery money. Their troubles mount, however, when a lottery inspector is scheduled to visit the village to verify details about Anthony. To fool the inspector, Ballu has to impersonate Anthony, leading to a series of hilarious and exciting situations.
The film also features the sweet love story of Kanhaiya and Sukhmani. Additionally, the conflict involving Thakurani Karmakali and her brother Baje adds further intrigue to the plot. Chaos ensues in the village over the lottery money, with everyone dreaming of becoming rich. The story is peppered with amusing misunderstandings, comical kidnapping sequences, and emotional moments that keep the audience hooked until the very end.
The film's climax is highly romantic, featuring a chaotic chase involving the entire village as they try to prevent the lottery inspector from learning the truth. In the end, the villagers become wealthy, while the greedy man's life is ruined. "Lottery" is a film that offers a perfect blend of comedy, drama, emotion, and suspense.
