Long before today’s renewed interest in advanced energy and unconventional propulsion, a small group of inventors and researchers were experimenting with ideas that challenged conventional thinking.

This archival program explores John Hutchison and the strange phenomena that became known as the Hutchison Effect, along with other inventors and researchers investigating unconventional energy, electromagnetic phenomena, ion wind, levitation, propulsion, and zero-point energy.

John Hutchison became known internationally for experiments involving combinations of high-voltage and radio-frequency equipment. During those experiments, Hutchison reported unusual effects involving objects apparently moving, levitating, heating, deforming, or undergoing changes in material structure.

The program also features retired U.S. Army Colonel John B. Alexander, aviation and defense journalist Nick Cook, Tim Ventura and experiments involving lifter technology and ion wind, and inventor Joseph Newman and his controversial energy machine.

Some of the experiments and explanations presented remain disputed and have not been established by mainstream scientific evidence.
