When I started learning cybersecurity, I was obsessed with moving fast.
Finishing courses. Getting certifications. Applying for jobs.

But I made one huge mistake:I kept skipping fundamentals and pretending I understood concepts when I actually didn’t.

I thought:“I’ll learn it later.”
But later never comes.
The moment I slowed down, focused on the basics, and truly understood networking, operating systems, and security fundamentals, everything changed.

If you’re starting your cybersecurity journey:Don’t chase shortcuts.Build strong foundations first.
