Europe’s last truly wild beach. No resorts, no beach bars, no paved roads — just endless sand, strong winds and the Black Sea.

After spending 3 nights camping in the Romanian mountains, we drove all the way to Vadu Beach for another 3 nights of off-grid camping on one of the most untouched coastlines left in Europe. Exhausted and overloaded with camping gear, we arrived late at night and ended up sleeping inside the car before even setting up camp.

The next days brought heavy rain, brutal coastal winds and constantly changing weather, but eventually the Black Sea rewarded us with one unforgettable sunny day. We cooked simple food, collected sea shells, explored the empty coastline with our dog Momo and tested our Decathlon AirSeconds 6.3 Fresh & Black inflatable tent against the elements.

Then on our final day, fighter jets suddenly appeared above the coast while Romanian forces were reportedly tracking a Russian drone near the Black Sea.

This trip was filmed in September 2025 and completely re-edited into a more cinematic camping adventure.
