Stop wasting money on cybersecurity certifications that don’t actually move you forward.

If you’re trying to break into cybersecurity, these are 5 I’d actually consider:

1. Cyberdefenders CCDL1 and CCDL2 to master the defensive side
2. Cloud Security: Amazon AWS security specialty and Microsoft Azure SC-200
3. GRC Mastery, for risk, compliance, NIST and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
4. HackThebox CPTS to master the offensive side and red teaming.
5. Google Cybersecurity Certificate, for a broad beginner foundation

The right certification depends on the job you’re targeting, but collecting random certs is not a strategy.

Save this before you spend money on the wrong one.
