The 2020s digital era has given us all our personal movie archives through Letterboxd lists, Instagram reels, and Pinterest boards that keep recommending “five must-watch horror movies” all the time. But back in the 90s, our love for horror mostly spread through stories we shared with friends. There were only a few options. Either you rented a movie, or you hit the theater with a couple of friends who would never judge your poor taste in films because they were into worse stuff themselves.
