AIDMKनं आपल्या 25 आमदारांची पक्षातून हकालपट्टी केलीय. मुख्यमंत्री जोसेफ विजय यांच्या विश्वासदर्शक ठरावादरम्यान या आमदारांनी पक्षाचा 'व्हीप' झुगारून सरकारला पाठिंबा दिला होता... या बंडखोरीनंतर सरचिटणीस एडप्पाडी के. पलानीस्वामी यांनी कडक पावले उचललीत... हकालपट्टी करण्यात आलेल्या नेत्यांमध्ये एस.पी. वेलुमणी आणि सी.व्ही. षण्मुगम यांसारख्या बड्या नावांचा समावेश आहे. पक्षानं आता या आमदारांविरुद्ध पक्षांतरबंदी कायद्यानुसार अपात्रतेची मागणी केलीय.

Following the rebellion, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami took strict disciplinary action. Among those expelled are senior leaders like S. P. Velumani and C. V. Shanmugam.
